Bradford's / Mann's Texas Cavalry?

Now that I've learned about Waller's Texas Cavalry from George Martin and Patricia Adkins-Rochette, I have a similar question re: Bradford's/Mann's Texas Cavalry.

My gr-gr-grandfather, Charles Riley Matney, was m. to Mary Louise Naney, probably in Tarrant Co TX and probaby in 1859 or early 1860. My gr-grandmother, Sarah Ann Matney, was b. Tarrant Co TX in 1861.

QUERY -- Mary L. Naney's father, Green William Naney, also served in a Confederate Cavalry regiment from Texas; however, the records show that his unit was Bradford's Texas Cavalry, which apparently wasn't formed until 1864, and I am wondering if his enlistments may predate that? Are there any muster rolls prior to 1864 for the units which comprised Bradford's/Mann's? And what was the service of this unit?

In 1860, he is GW Nance in Tarrant Co TX; in 1863 he is on the Ellis Co TX Tax List as G W Nancey. In 1850 he was in Randolph, AR; in 1870 he is in Oregon Co MO; in 1880 he is in Boone Co AR (his wife, Eleanor Dossy Carter, d. that year and is b. there -- they were m. Spencer Co IN, and wandered up and down the Mississippi with William Carter, Eleanor's father), and in 1900 he is living with dau Emily Williamson (widow) in Ellis Co TX. He died there in 1902 and is b. in Hughes Cemetery, apparently without a marker.
