The action in which a small Confederate forces captured a larger Union force and its supply base was the Battle of Brasher City, La. on June 23,1863. The Battle of Brasher City was part of the Lafouche Campaign to relieve the Siege of Port Hudson La. There was article on the Lafourche Campaign, including the Battle of Brasher City, and other battles in which Baylor's Regiment were involved in the "North & South" magazine of Aug.2004 (Vol. 7 - #5).
