Private sector heritage groups are good and I will support efforts like the SCV, but I will also be pro-active as an individual. I am going to write letters and essays for the local newspaper and others as well. And my granddaughter is going to get a good lesson about the Confederate heroes that fought at Sabine Pass, the Red River Campaign and elsewhere. Last summer, I took her to Austin and we looked a ALL the monuments at the Capitol.

Many people are apathetic about our heritage. Some are ignorant. Some just like to insult our ancestors. One is likely to respond to this post. If he does,ignore him.
