I had two uncles James and William Thompson that enlisted Dec.26,1861 at McKinney in Co.E,22nd Tx.Cavalry.Then mustered in at Ft.Washita,Jan.1862.In Feb.of 1862 they transfer to Co.G,Alexander's 34th.Texas Cavalry.

Am curious as to why the transfer and what was going on at the time?I do know that the later Co.G.,Captain William N.Bush,was composed of all Collin Co.soldiers.
