Re: Confererate Veterans Reunion, Dallas, TX !920

There was a large Confederate veterans reunion in Dallas, May 20-23, 1925, but there was no mention in the Dallas Morning News of a statue, other than a bust of Nathan Bedford Forrest being unveiled at his mother's grave just east of Navasota just after the reunion. I looked through that week of the paper online and saw nothing that looked like a photograph of a statue unveiling. On the other hand, the unveiling of the Dallas Confederate monument years earlier had sketches, but not photographs. That unveiling was attended by relatives of both Jefferson Davis and Stonewall Jackson, as mentioned in another reply.
