Thank you for finding the 1918 article in the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. You've just added two more men to my Bourland's Regt. listing. As you know, at least 200 men served in Bourland's Regt that are not listed in the archival records. Presently, I have found about 70 by hook and crook. Some of the 70 are listed on my web page:

WITCHER, Wm. Clay Witcher (1844 VA-1931 Grayson Co TX) m-Barthena Allred; 1860 Fannin cen p240 (Co I, Bourland's Regt) ... I think he is listed as "'Wick' in Co I" in the National Archival records.
