Capt W.R. Elliott; Co I, DeMorse's 29th Cavalry

Please help us learn more about the Capt. W.R. Elliott.
.
Below are two quotes from my book:
.
***********
.
"Captains W.H. Hooks of Co ‘D’ and W.R. Elliott of Co ‘I’ in Col. DeMorse’s 29th Texas Cavalry took possession of Ft. Arbuckle on Mar 29, 1863." per THE STANDARD, Clarksville TX (Apr 25, 1863, p2c1).
.
" ... our Colonel [C.L. DeMorse] was to have a conference with the chiefs of the Seminoles, Comanches, Caddos, Anadakos, &c. Well, the meeting came on according to appointment. The Col. [DeMorse] ... Capt. [W.H.] Hooks, and Capt. [W.R.] Elliott, with some 30 men from Companies D and I, went up to Cherokeetown ..." per THE STANDARD, Clarksville TX (May 2, 1863, p2c1-2).
.
************
.
Since most of Company I were recruited from Denton Co TX, I assume the William Elliott, b-1822 TN of the 1860 Denton Co TX cen p401 was this Capt. W.R. Elliott. ..I cannot find him in another record. ..I assume he moved to Indian Territory since he spent so much time there.
.
Again, please help find Capt. W.R. Elliott in another record.
