Lt Van Robbins killed Dec 1863 in Montague County

Alan Whitehead,
.
If you were referencing the the roster of Bourland's Regt. as a CSA military unit, it is INCOMPLETE .. at least 200 men short. ..Please know that Bourland's Regt was organzied in February 1863 but a roster -- albeit a partial roster -- was first compiled on March 30, 1864. ..Years ago before I published my 1st edition, I knew that the National Archives' listing (microfilm reels M-323-189 and M-323-190) was incomplete. ..See my web page where I have included most of the "additional" soldiers that I have found by hook and crook. ..At this point, I have found about 80 more soldiers, including Lt Van Robbins.

.
Moreover, I have a July 1864 document that states "Bourland had 1,000 active soldiers." ..The total of listed soldiers for March 1864 thru November 1864 records was 815. ..And yes, there are a precious few records between December 1, 1864 and the June 1865 Surrender of the North Sub-District of Texas of the CSA Trans-Mississippi Dept. ..The details are presented in my 6th and last edtion to be printed soon.
.
I study the last 1-1/2 years of the War in Southern Indian Territory and North Texas. If I don't make sense of this data, NOBODY will, ever. ... simply because the records are so scant ... and I am the only person alive who can possibly put tidbits of info into context. I have more Texas history on my web site than has ever been published about this era for this area.
.
Thank you for the question. And please help me identify the "Lt. Van Robbins" in question.
