Patricia, I am as far from being an expert as is possible but the two signatures appear to me to be that of Wm. C. Young Col. Comdg. 3rd Regiment . I can't tell if it is cavalry or infantry. I don't have any idea what is written below. When looking at the top signature it appears that the g in Young is seperated a little from the Youn. I will send you a copy of a letter by Col.
