My wife's greatgrandfather, Lt R.S. Lyles, was Company Commander of Co., H at Chickamuga.
He was wounded, Captured by Union forces and rescued by Confederate Forces on June 20, 1863.
Carlock said "one interesting fact was that every Company Commander was killed or wounded at Chickamuga, but at Murfreesboro, which was just as devastating in casualty numbers, not a single Company Commander was evev wounded."
Hope this helps. There is lots of information on individual members in Carlock's Book.
