Thanks for the info. Ben F. Blanton was my Great-Great Grandfather and according to family history his brothers, J.L. and M. H. were both flag bearers who were shot during the battle of Corinth. As I have read, they lost 5 flag bearers in that battle with Col. William P. Rogers being one of them. I could never find any documentation on Elijah Hamby Blanton. In 1862, Elijah would have only been 17 years old. Thanks again for your help.
