Enjoy the book Mr. Thompson, but don't' get to mad. That era is over and we have moved on. But please do use it to teach others about the fact that what went on is that which has been reported. That the South and it's people are really good people. We have a GOD, which is why they call it the Bible Belt. We have values which means many of our kids, still say "yes mam"' and "no sir." etc.

And may I suggest Humbles book, Emancapating Slaves and Enslaving Freemen." It is a good social history about the conflict. (wish I could spell right.}
