An Arkansas historian friend of mine sent this to me, and I'll pass this on to you. There is a paragraph about him on the front page of the Arkansas Gazette of Sept. 24, 1895. He was married in the lobby of one of the Little Rock hotels. The wedding made the news because here was this Confederate veteran, and he was marrying a Yankee girl from Illinois. Jennie Maunk was her name. It does mention that at the time he was from Carlisle. He was also for a time, a member of the Omer Weaver Camp UDC.
