"Charles M. Walker, age 25, Brevet 2nd Lieutenant, Capt. Bartholomew Donnelly's Company,** value of horse $135, equipments $20, enlisted September 22, 1861 at Hollandale, Texas, promoted 1st Lieutenant Nov/Dec, 1862, absent on detached service near Edenburg March 15, 1863, no further records

** This company subsequently became Company C, 3rd (Yager's) Battalion Texas Cavalry"

It makes one wonder why there are no further records on him such as missing, etc.
