Re: Sgt. James M. Skelton, 15th(32nd) TX Cav

Thanks George. It's been awhile since I read about that area. I found that as of July 1856, one James M. Skelton was postmaster of the Lukfahtah P.O. (aka White Clay aka Skelton Depot). I have little doubt this is the James M. Skelton who was supplying Deneale's Choctaw Battalion. The Sgt J.M. Skelton of the 15th TX Cav may have been a younger relative.
