This is very interesting to me. I am looking for Jasper Newton Curtis who was from Paris, Lamar County, TX during this time. He was born in Alabama. I don't know what outfit he was with but this sure fits the timetable. He was killed at Shiloh and buried in one of the common graves there. Can you tell me anything about this? Was this a part of their movement there?
