Can anyone tell me exactly what Captain Frederick Odlum's Company F (Jeff Davis Guards), 1st Texas Heavy Artillery Regiment, did in the Battle of Galveston. Did they take part in the storming of Kuhn's Wharf, or were they manning some of the artillery? I haven't been able to find a reference to them in the Official Records for the Battle of Galveston.
