Troy: Thanks for your info on Co. H members returning to Texas in late 1862. My 2nd great grandfather was in this company and we knew he was home about then--there was a child born in late June--but we didn't know why nor how. He was captured at Arkansas Post and died at Camp Douglas. This fills a gap in the little we know about him.
