I think it is quite likely that unless your unit was a militia company before the war and had a special dress uniform, the men likely had a mixture of dark blue frock coats, cadet grey frock coats, light blue trousers, kepis and various slouch hats (or Hardees), or civilian clothes. However as the war went on it most likely became the same greys and browns that clothed most of the ANV.
