Re: Isaac N. Davis, Co. H, 50th Virginia Inf.

Isaac M. Davis was a Pvt. in H/50Va. Born 1834. He enlisted, age 22, Wise C.H., Wise County, Va., 6/3/61. He was left sick at Wytheville 7/25/61 through 7/31/61. Hospitalized White Sulphur Springs 9/10/61 through 11/1/61. He was wounded by 6/23/63 when furloughed on sick leave through 7/25/63. He was present in unit 10/20/63. Died 1905. Buried Peterstown Cemetery, Monroe Co., W.Va.

Jerome B. Davis was a 1st Sgt, H/50Va. In 1860 he was a saddler, age 31, in Pulaski Co, Va. Enl., as a corporal, in H/50Va, Wytheville, Wythe Co., 6/25/61. Present in unit 10/31/61. Reduced to pvt by 5/2/63-5/3/63 when WIA Chancellorsville. Hospitalized Richmond by 5/9/63. Promoted 1st Sgt by 5/12/64 when captured Spotsylvania C.H. POW Point Lookout 5/18/64 to 7/30/64. POW Elmira 8/2/64 to 6/23/65 when released on oath. Gave Dublin, Pulaski Co., Va., as residence. 67.5", dark complexion, dark hair and dark eyes in 1865.
