When I visited the University library during my college years (which wasn't that often), I usually stopped to study the flag of Lumsden's Battery from Tuscaloosa. It was the first authentic Confederate battleflag I recall ever seeing, and in those years it was prominently displayed. I mention this just to say that I'm familiar with the Lumsden name, at least in Alabama.
