Re: 54th Virginia Infantry
In Response To: 54th Virginia Infantry ()

Hello Bill:
I am also from the Capt. Charles Grafton Mabry line. Aside from what you already know, I found this in my files.

MABRY, SAMUEL, Pvt., Co. G, 54th VA, d. 15 Jun 1864, of wounds received during the Atlanta campaign, b. c1839, son of Samuel and Tabitha.

Churchwell and Green were wagon makers. Churchwell's second wife was a Hurst and I suspect that Winfields wife was also.
I am related to all the VA Hursts.

Coach and Wagon makers from
Chataigne's Virginia Gazetteer
and Classified Business Directory
1888-1889 for
Carroll County

Maberry, Churchwell - Quaker (community)
Maberry, Green - Aral (community)

Some of my CSA info was obtained early on from the rootsweb mailing lists.

If I learn more, I will send it along to you.
Cousin,
Debbie
