I am currently writing a biography of Turner Ashby and in the course have become quite interested in Colonel McDonald, his ordeal and those of his wife and family.
I'm curious if any of you McDonalds know if the house in Lexington where Cornealia lived is still standing. As much as I love Lexington a modern street address would sure be a lot easier than carrying a photograph around town to compare with each house.
