Well, since my guy, A J WOOD lived in Floyd Co VA...maybe this is him in Company H, 57th Infantry Regiment Virginia' enlisted on 22 July 1861. On rolls on 15 June 1862
Killed Company H, 57th Infantry Regiment Virginia on 01 July 1862 in Malvern Hill, VA

Does anyone know if someone from Floyd Co could have been in the 57th...and killed at Malvern Hill.
