I checked on A. J. Wood in 57th Virginia Infantry by Charles W. Sublett, another volume in The Virginia Regimental History Series. Andrew Jackson Wood was born in Albemarle County and enlisted in Charlottesville on July 22, 1861 in Company H. According to the book Company H was from Albemarle County.
