I am looking for information about Company G "Mason's Rangers" of the 7th VA Cavalry CSA. I recently found an 1885 obituary for my g-g-grandmother's nephew Lt. Joshua Randolph Crown and while I knew that he was a lieutenant in White's Comanches (35th VA Cav), he was also in "Co. G, 7th VA Cav (Captain Mason) and later of Co. B, 7th VA Cav, CSA . . . ." The only information I have on Co. G is that it was formed in the Maryland and Loudon Co., VA area. Joshua Crown lived in the Buckeystown, Frederick Co., MD area.
