122nd Virginia Militia Regiment from Clarke County, paret of the 16th Virginia Militia Brigade under Brig Gen James H. Carson. The 122nd Va Militia was commanded by Col Washington Dearmont, 18761 and was called out by order of the Governor dated july 13, 1861 and was ordered to rendezvous at Winchester.

Co A = Capt John A. Nunn's Company; in service from June 18 to 20, 1861; again reported in service on regimental returns for August & October 1861.
