I have a question for someone with more knowledge of this unit than I. While researching lesser known units the 41st caught my attention. Most records show thw 41st as having been organized in Sept. 1863. I have however found a record of their taking part in the Jones-Imboden West virginia raid in April 1863 as part of Jones' Brigade. I can find no more info on them until they became the 23rd Regiment. Does anyone have any suggestions?
