I know what you are saying but the reference I am alluding to was a history of the 1st Maryland Cav. Bn. In this history a mention is made of the 41st being at Greenland Gap on April 25, 1863 with Jones Brigade. This participation is mentioned as part of dispatches from War of The Rebellion, Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, Appendix. It is also mentioned as such in Sifakis'Compendium, but I do not place much faith in the Sifakis work as it is full of inconistancies and error. I will admit that Confederate unit records are confusing.
