Thanks again. However, I think I must not be explaining myself well enough.

Since this regiment does not have a State name attached to it - it is only the 6th Regiment, United States Veteran Volunteers, how will I ever find anything about it? It is not the 6th Regiment NY Veteran Volunteers or Michigan Veteran Volunteers.

Do you think the lack of a state was an error on the website? Maybe I need to send them a message. OR did it never have a state attached to? I have never seen a regiment that did not come from a certain state - not that I have seen them all - but I understand your explanation about them being veterans, having served out an enlistment already.

I guess what I mean is Who had Veteran Volunteers?
