Yes, I am related to the "Fredericksburg" area Masseys. My GGgrandfather was John Petty Massey who married into families in Caroline Co. next door. He was born in Spottsylvania Co. in 1815 and his father and mother were Thomas C. Massey of Spottsylvania Co. (who owned land, slaves, and a leathher tannery) and Lucy Petty. Thomas C. Massey shows up on the census of 1820 in Spottslyvania. Lucy Petty's family was from Culpepper. I am also related to the Royston family from Spottsylvania and Fredericksburg area.
