Much of what they have is on microfilm and those copies can be bad as well. I don't know if pensions are in their original documents files. They have a very helpful knowledgeable staff, and excellent facilities.

Visiting the Library of Virginia and the Virginia Historical Society was really grand! Holding original documents written by my ancestors was a new experience for me, I wanna go back.
