My Great Grandfather Wm Starr was in the fifth Va Infantry (Stonewall Brigade) I know that he was a prisoner at Fort Delaware. He was originally from Winchester and after the war, he lived in Cumberland,MD where he died in 1880. However I can find no record of a pension or burial site. Since the family was buried in Cumberland I assume that he was buried there too (Rose Hill Cemetery) I plan to go there to see if he is buried there and if he has no headstone I would like to get one for him. They were very poor so I doubt that he has one. If you are able to find information regarding his pension I would appreciate it.
