The only man with that surname in the 34th is that of Sylvester Adkins, Company B. His service record file consists of one card referring to the 16th Virginia Cavalry. that regiment contains a number of Adkins with Sylvester surviving the war.

There is one Virginia Levi Adkins as noted below. Also, one Levi Atkins whom I believe is your man.
