John H. Boon(e) 1863, 7th Va Cav.

Anyone have any records for a Confederate Soldier; Private. John H. Boon(e)?

I was told he fought for the 7th Virginia Regiment, Harris' Co./Ashby's Cav;
and his (Widowed Wife) Ruth E. (Unknown) Boon/Boone - attempted to file a
claim (for what, I still don't know); dated on July 13th, 1863. This makes
me "assume" that my Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandfather John H. Boon(e) had
to have died around July of (1863). But where? What battle? And where
could he have been buried at?

If anyone has any helpful advice or information. I sure would appreciate it,
and would be very grateful... Thank you for your time and effort on this.

Have a "blessed" day,
Rebecca Wilson - (Becwil66@aol.com)

Ps: I still haven't found any Harris' Company - assiciated with "I'm guessing
Turner Ashby's Cavalry Unit, from the Hardy and Hampshire County, "Old" Va.,
present day West Virginia Territory area...
