There is not much written about that battle. It was essentially usless and was only successful in killing off good men on both sides. I have been trying to find out where Mahone's men left the CS trenches to attack the Union. I have hunted much of that area and would be happy to help you out. I believe I have the topo map but you should be able to find one online. My next stop is the Park Service Historian in Petersburg.
