Confederate Dead after 2nd Winchester?

I'm working on a regimental history of the 8th Louisiana Infantry of Hays' Brigade. I'm posting on the Virginia site because I'm hoping someone with some insight about the Battle of 2nd Winchester can help. Does anyone know where the Confederate dead from 2nd Winchester (June 13-14, 1863) were buried? Captain Dejean of Co. F, 8th Louisiana, was killed at the battle and can not find his grave anywhere-neither can his descendents. Very odd a captain would go missing like that but then I wondered if this was true for all those killed at 2nd Winchester. Only one other soldier was killed there, Pvt. Patrick Gaffney of Co. B. There is no record of his burial place either.

Anyone study regiments fought there and know of burial places from me who died there OR has is someone very familiar with Winchester in the war and where they buried dead? ANY clues/assistance would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to email personally: stallz@bellsouth.net
