Kenton Ballard Stoner, Sr., b. abt 1840, was a Merchant and served in the Civil War in 14th Va Inf Regt.
His son, Robert Dovet Stoner, b. abt 1898, was in the Court system of Fincastle and wrote the book, "Seedbed of the Republic",dealing with Botetourt County in the Civil War in 1962, which I understand is still available.
