My inquiry was prompted by a newspaper article entitled
"Two Interesting War Flags" which appeared in the Richmond
Dispatch of January 30, 1898.
The article stated that Kenton Stoner had a Virginia State
flag which had belonged to his Company during the war. I believe
that this flag was donated to the Museum of the Confederacy around
1907.
