In the roster of the Richmond "Crenshaw" VA Light Artillery Battery of 202 men, we find these Carys: A. R., David H., John S. and Miles.

at Columbia, Virginia by 1st NY Cav, no date given

* This company was successively designated as Captain Crenshaw's Company and Captain Ellett's Company Virginia Light Artillery. It served in Walker's and Pegram's Battalion of Reserve Artillery, where were composed of independent batteries from various states.
