Thank you for that information. That is a step in the right direction. I'd love to start with the index, but these rolls now sell for $125 per roll/CD from the NARA. I don't think I can (literally) afford to pay that much for an index. I know (and you have confirmed) that rolls 10-16 contain ANV inspection reports. It also looks like Roll 3 is one I'll need for my Petersburg project based on your response and some of Bryce Suderow's research, which (I think) showed some of the Texas Brigade inspection on that roll. It will take me awhile just to purchase those rolls since this is a hobby and the wife does not appreciate too much money going in its direction. I'm just wondering what other rolls from 2-9 and 17+ I would need, if any. I don't expect you to look through the entire index for me, but if anyone reading this knows offhand for sure there are others I'll need, I would appreciate a response.
