I would like to identify the following Gettysburg casualty who is listed in The Medical and Surgical History of the War of the Rebellion, vol. 3, p. 420, but only by his initials: Private G. W. B-----, Company G, 42nd Virginia, age 25, admitted to Frederick, Maryland hospital for a gunshot wound of the neck and face on 3 July 1863, died 13 July.
