Andrew A. Kean, Private, Company D, Artillery Corps, Wise Legion, enlisted July 20, 1861 at Alleghany by B. Roemer for 12 months, present February 28, 1862, no further records

The Artillery Battalion of Wise Legion, consisting of four companies, A to D, was organized July 23, 1861, of the artillery companies which were serving in Brig. Gen. Wise's Brigade. Company A was mustered out December 21, 1861, and the other companies were later reorganized as independent companies, thus breaking up the battalion organization., This company was reorganized about April, 1862, as Captain Turner's Company, Virginia Light Artillery
