I am looking for any information about Joseph Heiden Fix. He returned home after the war to Augusta Co. VA with both legs amputated. I have no information as to when or where he lost his legs and or if he was in a Northern POW Camp. D.O.B. 1834 Rockbridge Co. VA. On May 12, 1862 Joseph joined Imboden’s 1st VA. Partisan Rangers. Joseph moved to the rank of 1st Lt. for McClanahans Staunton Horse Light Artillery Battery. Died Feb. 28, 1889 Augusta Co. VA. His grave site is also unknown. I would be grateful for any information about my G.G.Grandfather. Thanks. . . Randy A. Fix
