Thank you for such a prompt reply! I found the information I have from a local historian and it parallels the info from Levi Jefferson Bowman. I have never heard of the name Levi attached to him before! But it matches completely with the dates I have from every where else. Maybe this Levi will open a few more doors that were closed before!! Again thanks!! I do know these gentlemen were referred to as "The Patrick Boys." We have a great local historian named Thomas D. Perry who has opened The Free State of Patrick website where you can buy some great books with lots of info about Patrick County and lots of the history we have here!!! I hope I can find more info about the soldiers in our family as my nephew just graduated from boot camp and I would love to make a military heritage book!!
