After Five Forks the chances of locating a properly marked Confederate grave is quite remote. Federals were left holding the field, and things quickly moved soon afterwards. Most hastily buried in groupings where ever they were. Many that died during the war or located afterwards were reburied in Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. Most in the soldiers section are unknowns.
