Dred shows enlisting September 10th in Christiansburg VA, but the name is listed as Deed Gearhart. Chavinous joined the same day, but his name was also misspelled. They belonged to the 54th Infantry Regiment Virginia Company C and later Chavinous belonged to Company H. I believe Dred died in service on November 7th 1862.
