Jonathan Pack, 50th Virginia Infantry

My wife’s ancestor, Jonathan Pack, was in the 50th VA Infantry. He was admitted to General Hospital #2, Camp Winder, Richmond, VA on May 11, 1863 and died on Sept. 2, 1863. He died of Vulnus Sclopet, which indicates a gunshot wound. Does anyone know what battle (or skirmish) the 50th VA Infantry may have been fighting in around May 11, 1863 (he could have been wounded some time prior to his hospital admittance)?
