My Mom thanks you Mr George and Frederick....I have been reading these post over and over all day, and researching. Yes I understand about friends and neighbors joined the service together, Thanks. Thats how I found my other 2nd Great, he enlisted with his future wife's brother.

(1) Is there a link where I can see the men that enlisted Aug 1st 1861 at Cumberland Gap ? I can't seem to find it.
