Re: Pattons of Madison County

My research indicates that two soldiers named Patton served in Company "I" of the 35th Alabama Infantry. Company "I" was orginally formed in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Do you know if either or possibly both of these Pattons were related to the Pattons that you mention? These men were:

John Brahan Patton: Enlisted as 1st Lieutenant, Company "I"; Promoted to Captain 01/05/1864 to rank from 08/25/1863; Wounded at the battle of Franklin, TN 11/30/1864; Surrendered 05/04/1865 at Citronelle, Alabama; Paroled 05/11/1865 (a second record shows 05/13/1865) at Meridian, MS.

Samuel Patton: Enlisted as a Private; No further information available at this time.
